Small Groups Statement

Here at Wellington Square we want to support and encourage life-long learning and growth in discipleship. There are many avenues to explore in seeking a relationship with God: learning on your own (Bible reading, online, movies, and DVDs), in large groups (courses, speakers, workshops, retreats, conferences) in our congregation (Sunday worship, church events, mission activities) and in our small groups (bible study, mission/prayer and support groups) — all of which offer opportunities to connect into our community of faith and grow in your relationship with Jesus. Blessings on your journey.

Small Groups …
… are foundational to Wellington Square’s vision that we might be “a Christian community with deeper roots, that is always branching out and bearing greater fruit.”
… are foundational in Wellington Square’s mission, as we seek “to know Christ and to make Him known.”
… are crucial to our church community’s building and thriving, as faith grows and lives are changed forever.
… deepen our experience of the life-changing love of Jesus Christ, within the confines of a caring and listening community of fellow seekers.
… are vital to every believer’s spiritual growth, no matter their age, or stage of Christian faith.
… are to be a way of life, as we live the Way of Jesus Christ.

You will seek and find me when you seek me with all your heart – Jeremiah 29:13

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. – Matt: 18:20 (NIV)

Sharing our lives together can become a way to reveal to each other the real presence of God in our midst. — Henri Nouwen
