There are a number of opportunities for us to come together and be a part of the Christmas Season as a church family. Please take a look at the list of events to help sustain and strengthen your Christmas Spirit.

November 27 - December 18

Advent Sundays

November 27 Advent 1 (10:00 and 11:30 a.m.)- Part of the Wonder of Christmas is how God chose to give needed hope to His people. Communion will be shared.

5:00 p.m. We’ll be exploring the Miracles of Jesus… and celebrating His birth at Messy Church. Potluck dinner and intergenerational worship experience.

 

December 4 Advent 2 (9:30 and 11:00 a.m.)- The wonder of Christmas includes a wonderous peace because not only was our Savior born, but that also meant our Good Shepherd finally had arrived.

4:30 p.m. Kids Club (grades 4-6) will be making Blessing Bags to hand out during the Advent season.

Burly Sub Hub Dinner (time TBD)

 

December 11 Advent 3 (ONE 10am service)- There is a wonder of joy waiting to be experienced this Christmas when you realize the road you have been traveling intersects with the Saviour who was born for you.

The HUB will be hosting a Christmas service, aimed at youth and young adults (but ALL are welcome), at 7:00 p.m.

 

December 18 Advent 4 (9:30 and 11:00 a.m.)- Let’s experience the wonder of the birth narrative again and begin to open our eyes with a lens of curiosity and see how God may want us to experience His love this Christmas from a different point of view.

Youth (Gr.7-12) Christmas party (time tbd)

 

Christmas Day and New Year's Day

December 25 Christmas Day  A joint service with area churches held at Port Nelson United Church at 10:30 a.m.

 

January 1 New Year’s Day  Wellington Square will be hosting a combined service with area churches at 10:30 a.m. Join us for a service of reflections and readings, carols, coffee, and treats.

 

Friday, December 23

Christmas Eve Hub & Lunch

Our Friday Hub is from 10:00am-3:00pm with a traditional Christmas meal served from 12-2:00pm.

Thank you for  helping us to support our local community this holiday season by purchasing $10 Tim Horton’s gift cards to include in the Holiday Gift Bags, stocking stuffers for the children and hygiene items (shampoo, body wash, toothbrush & toothpaste, etc.) for those who are staying in emergency shelters.

Christmas Eve Services

We invite you to worship with us this Christmas Eve both in-person and online.

4:30 p.m. Contemporary Family Service

Join us for a service involving all ages. We will celebrate the Real gift of Christmas and watch it come alive through drama, worship, sharing, and more.

 

7:00 p.m. Traditional Lessons and Carols

Together we will read through the wonder of the Christmas story found in scripture, filled with the singing of carols.

 

9:00 p.m. Candlelight Communion

Through music, prayer, and the shared experience of lighting candles to reflect the light of the world coming into darkness, we will turn our hearts to the wonder and miracle of Christmas and be welcomed at Christ’s table together.
