There will be lots of music, a fun lesson, various festive activities, and some blasts from the past with Stellar VBS (Vacation Bible School) reminders. To end our time together, we’ll share in a potluck dinner!
Mitten Tree
Christmas is all about sharing the light, warmth, and love of God and through our mitten tree, we’re aiming to do just that! Throughout Advent bring mittens, scarfs, hats, gloves or other outdoor clothing and decorate the Mitten Tree with them. We’ll pass them along to our friends at the Community Food Program and make sure they keep our friends there warm and loved.
Night of Lament Dec 17th @ 7pm
For many of us the holidays are full of pain, grief, anxiety, and stress. Whether it’s because of family dynamics, the loss of loved ones, finances, depression, or loneliness, there is a lot to lament. On Dec 17 we’re making room for people to honor the things they are carrying. Join us as we make space to be honest, real, and raw with people who get it.
Advent Connect
Do you need a place to go for a meal this Christmas? Do you have an extra seat at your table? Let us get you connected so nobody is alone. Get in touch and let us know if you need a space or have one, and we’ll introduce you to a new friend.
Advent Justice
This Advent we’re raising attention for two of our global justice initiatives: Hope for Malawi and the Wellington Orphanage. Join us on Dec 10 and 17th as we learn more about these and hear how we can get involved to be a source of God’s light to them this Christmas. Visit our justice page for more information.
