Providing over 1000 Meal Bags a Week

In this time of fear and uncertainty, we believe that compassion is as important as ever. As a community we are choosing to share what we have with those around us who may be scared, hungry and alone.

Friday Night Community has changed to a Take Home Meal Bag program where bags of already prepared meals as well as any available produce, breads, hygiene and baby items can be picked up on  Fridays from 12-4:00 pm. Delivery is available on an ‘as needed’ basis.

We are partnering with our community friends and organizations to find the food and resources to provide food support to over 1,000 people in our community each week.

We have a small group of volunteers who come together to cook and package the food while following strict safety guidelines, as well as a team delivering meal bags to those who are unable to access from our pick-up location.

We have created a ‘Community Connections’ telephone buddy group where kind and caring volunteers are reaching out to regularly check in with hundreds of friends in our community in order to support them and determine if there are any imminent needs.

This is such a crucial part of our ministry as we want to support and ensure that our friends do not feel alone during this time.
