For the past 7 weeks we have been collecting donations from the congregation to send to Wellington Orphanage. We thank you so much for your generosity!
14 large bags of gently used and new clothing ~ reduced to 2 bails;
2 large bags of shoes, many of which were brand new;
Boxes of school and craft supplies, beautiful puzzles, toys and sports equipment;
2 adult bikes;
Storage bins and suitcases to store the children’s belongings;
Seeds and garden tools;
Medical supplies and equipment;
Sheets and blankets mostly new and some gently used;
Dishes, food supplies, mosquito nets etc. etc.
We especially thank Sew on Fire, for their donations of 100 filled pencil cases, 90 handmade sanitary napkin bags and donations of clothing and sheets.
Also, thank you to the team of workers who collected, shopped, sorted, packed, and labeled the donations which were collected by the shipping company last Wednesday.
MORE GOOD NEWS: We have a new charity to work through! CAF, Charities Aid Foundation of Canada has approved Wellington Orphanage to receive our financial donations.
