The Words Between Us by Erin Bartels

Robin Windsor has spent most of her life under an assumed name to avoid association with her infamous, incarcerated parents. She was living a peaceful new life running a used bookstore and thought she had put the past behind her. But simultaneously, her store begins experiencing financial difficulties, her father’s upcoming execution is all over the news bringing reporters to her door, and books inscribed with poems start arriving from a past flame. Robin is thrown into turmoil as she faces her past and struggles to work through the misunderstandings and rifts in the broken relationships in her life.
