kids belong at wellington square
hey kids & families!
We believe kids belong in church and our programs are all designed just for them to help them discover their connection with God, learn how Jesus teaches us to live, and experience that they are loved, just as they are.
For any questions, contact Rev Kim.
treasured kingdom kids
Treasured Kingdom Kids (TK Kids) is our version of Sunday School! It's a safe and inclusive space for children to learn about how much God loves them and how Jesus teaches us to live.
Each week is a new adventure, an exciting lesson, some fun crafts, an interesting snack, lots of upbeat music, an animal Bible Buddy that teach us fun facts about themselves, and the theme we are covering, and so much more.
TK Kids is a place where kids can grow in their own faith and spirituality through worship, lessons, and relationships. It’s a place where we grow and learn together, ask tough questions, explore how our faith fits into our everyday life, and it’s a place to have fun. We are all seen as God’s chosen masterpieces — deeply and unconditionally loved just as we are!
Sundays @ 10am
Friends who are aged 3 years and under are invited to join our loving volunteers in the Nursery/Toddler area. Parents are welcome to leave their children in the capable hands of our volunteers, or they can also stay and watch the service stream live in the room. And if you have a potty-training little one? Don't worry, we have bathrooms close by the nursery! We do have some diapers in various sizes available in the nursery, but we always ask that you bring a bag filled with supplies for your own family.

kids club
While kids patiently await being "old enough" for youth group, they are invited to join us Kids Club four times a year for a time of community connections, wild and crazy games, life chats about current issues, and so much more. Anyone in grades 4 through 6 is welcome to join us.

messy church
Crazy name, right? Is Messy Church actually messy? It can be! But it's also a place for people of all ages to come together, share in a lesson, worship, explore different activities related to the lesson, and end with a meal together. There's always something for everyone. Stay tuned for all the great messy churches we have coming up!
Sunday, October 26, 4:00-5:30pm
sounds great! but I have some questions …
how do I check in my kids?
Once you're inside the church, ask for directions to our Kids and Youth Wing. Head on over to our main Treasured Kingdom check in station, sign your kids in, and be sure to let us know of any allergies, health or behaviour concerns, or anything else we need to be aware of to make sure your kids have the best morning ever. Each child will have a name-tag and head off with their group leaders for a time of learning, growing, and adventures. Once church is over, head on back to pick up your kids and sign-them out! Don't forget to fill out a registration form that we can keep on file.
what if there’s a problem?
We have a pager system in place for our children's ministry. If you're more comfortable taking one with you into church, let our volunteers know and they'll get you connected with one. You'll get paged if there's something we need from you! And if you don't have a pager, we'll come find you in church if our volunteers can't address an issue.
who’s looking after my kids?
All of our Treasured Kingdom Kids are lovingly cared for by staff and our volunteers. Each group has 2-3 leaders that visit various stations with them on a Sunday morning, each station has 1-2 adult leaders, and our nursery is always full of volunteers with big laps and activities tucked up their sleeves. If you'd prefer to stay with your kids for the first few weeks, you're most welcome to do that.
what kinds of things do my kids learn?
Our programs are all about teaching kids that they are loved by God, just as they are; learning about the teachings of Jesus; about how they can make the world a better place; and helping them cultivate their own sense of faith and spirituality. Through games, crafts, songs, and themed snacks, your kids will get a version of church that meets them where they are at.
what if there is an emergency and we need to evacuate the building?
We have a fire and evacuation plan in place should we ever experience anything like this on a Sunday morning. Our leaders wil take our kids and youth out the safest door to either the back of the parking lot entrance on Wellington Street or to the lawn area on the east side of our driveway. Parents and guardians, we know you will be worried but please trust that your kids are safe and head to safety yourself and only come get your children from our safe meeting space when instructed to do so. This will help us all get out of the building more quickly and safely while keeping the flow through hallways as clear as possible.
