sunday services
every sunday @ 10am
in person & online
Our Sunday Services are fully accessible. We have spots with extra space for walks/chairs and hearing assistance devices.
Every week we gather for a “Sunday Service” or what you might know of as “worship.” It’s a chance to connect with God, each other, and ourselves through music, art, prayer, conversation, sermons, and spiritual practices, explore Jesus's wisdom, and find the grace, peace, and courage we need to create the lives and world God wants us to have.
coming up on Sundays
Our fall series is called “Who Do You Say That I Am: Who Jesus Really Is & Why That Matters Today.” It’s big question because just who is he and why does he matter?! Each week we’ll look at different identities of Jesus - friend, rebel, stranger, helper, teacher, and healer - and ask how they can each help us see who God is and what it tells us about what it means to be human.
It all begins on October 19 at 10am
We kick every fall off with our annual Blessing of the Backpacks! With kids going back to school, people going off to university, and the beginning of new routines and seasons, we want to send everyone into the fall reminded that they are loved and worthy, just as they are, and that they are not alone because God and their church community is with them. Bring whatever is you carry - a backpack, tote, purse, fanny pack or wallet, and we’ll fill it with blessings for the year ahead!
what kind of music is there?
We believe all music can be church music and throughout the year we have a mix of praise songs, traditional hymns, and popular music. We’re working on putting together playlists for you to listen to at home of the songs you’ll hear on Sundays, the playlist we have on before and after services, as well as various playlists to help us through the special seasons like Advent and Lent. Stay tuned as we publish those!
“wait, I have some questions…”
how long are the services?
our services are typically between 75-90 minutes. Stay as long as you can and feel free to go when you need to.
this is my first time…
That’s great! Thanks for checking us out. We encourage you to show up for a few Sundays, participate as little or as much as you want, and do whatever you need to see if WSUC is for you. You can check out our past services online to get a sense of what to expect. If you have questions, just ask.
what about my kids?
Kids and youth belong in church and we are so proud of our Youth and Kids programs. Kids on Sundays are encouraged to check out those, but they are always allowed in church (even when they make noise and wander around).
what do I need to wear?
Clothes. Other than that, it’s up to you. Some people wear suits, others wear jeans and t-shirts, it doesn’t matter to us.
I’m spiritual, but not really religious. Is that ok?
That’s totally ok! We’re a community full of people at different stages in the faith journey and who identify in all kinds of ways. Regardless of any of it, you belong here.
does it cost anything?
Nope. While we ask those who call WSUC ‘home,’ to support the work by donating regularly or volunteering, there’s no cost or expectation if you’re just checking us out.
